Campfires
During our fall harvest festival, relax next to the warmth and comfort of a crackling fire by reserving one of Maize Valley’s campfire sites. Maize Valley has 2 options for campfires – regular campfire or premium campfire.
Regular campfires are for a four hour period starting between 12 noon & 3 pm, and are available on Saturdays & Sundays. Fires are built and lit for you with a small amount of additional wood supplied. One table, a trash bag, and straw bales for seating are included. The cost is $100 per fire. Fires need to be reserved 48 hours in advance.
(All guests attending the fire will need to purchase a ticket to the fall harvest activities – tickets can be purchased either online ahead of time, or at the gate.)
The Premium Campfire is in a separate area that also includes a small pavilion with picnic tables that will seat 25 – 30 guests. The pavilion also has one electrical outlet that can accomodate 1 crockpot or roaster. This site is an all day rental and the cost is $200.
Maize Valley will supply:
- Building the fire, firewood, and lighting the fire for you.
- Trash receptacles.
- 1 Table
- 4-5 bales of straw to sit on. If bales are destroyed or burned, a $10 fee per bale will be charged.
- You may bring your own food to campfires site areas. Concessions are also available for both food, wine & beer.
- No outside alcohol is permitted at the campfire sites. All Alcohol MUST be purchased from Maize Valley.
- Random checks of coolers may be done at any time.
- Because no vehicles are permitted beyond the admissions gate and you might walk 100-300 yards to your site, we suggest bringing a wagon to haul your supplies. We will also do our best to help you haul items to your fire – please gather all items in one designated area and we will make one trip to your site for you.
- We suggest you keep it simple when it comes to campfires – the more stuff you haul in, the more stuff you have to haul out!!
If you don’t want to bother bringing your own food – remember that we have concessions available daily.
Premium Campfire
If you are looking for a covered shelter, with lights, then the Premium Site is for you. This site is located near the kids play area at the top of the zig zag walking path.
This site includes the use of our Party Pavilion which is an open sided pavilion with seating for 25 – 30 people at picnic tables. The pavilion has lights and one outlet which will accommodate a small crock pot, and a trash receptacle.
All guests who use this area will enter through the admissions area and must pay the applicable admission rate for that day, tickets should be purchased in advance.
Guests who use this area are permitted to bring in their own food, concessions are also available – any alcohol must be purchased from Maize Valley. The cost of the site is $200 for the day and includes a 4 hour campfire. (This does NOT include your admission tickets.)
