Oh, quite the “cocky” brute! Yes, it was a real bird and it did rule the roost, as does the wonderfully bold, yet smooth, dry red blend it is named after. Big Red Pecker is a signature dry red-wine blend made from 50% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Petit Syrah. Soft, fruit-forward aromas and flavors of cherry and blackberry from the Merlot and Petit Syrah are blended with the bold structure from Cabernet Sauvignon to provide the perfect amount of tannins and balance. The hens would say to check out the “legs” on this one, but instead they offer a bit of advice.
