Fruit Wines

Although wine is traditionally defined as fermented grape juice, practically any plant can produce a tasty fruit wine.

Most fruits and berries can be fermented but not many have the natural balance of sweetness and acidity that grapes do. So fruit wines often require additional water, sugar or honey – or enhancements like flowers and herbs for balanced flavor.

Of course, fruit wine is only as good as the fruit used to make it. From apples to cherries to berries, we either grow the fruit for our wines on-site or source local ingredients. We only use high-quality whole fruit – never concentrates. Try one of our fruit wines and taste the difference of Maize Valley quality!
