Maize Valley Merlot
“You had me at Merlot!” So much more than simply a voluptuous gal from Bordeaux. Rich, plump, fruit flavors and balanced tannins with soft, smoky textures, combine to make that curvaceous, full-figured body wrapped up in a bottle.
Unfortunately, not a beauty that we can grow in our vineyard, Maize Valley Merlot wine is produced with high-quality fruit sourced from the regions of Lodi, California. Merlot is a dark blue-colored grape that can be used to make varietal wines, or be used in blending wines (Big Red Pecker). Maize Valley Merlot is a dry red wine that is full of body, soft in texture with flavors of plum and blackberry fruit.

Merlot wine matches with a wide variety of foods because of its position in the middle of the red wine spectrum. In general, Merlot pairs well with chicken and other light meats as well as lightly-spiced dark meats. With medium tannin and not too much acidity you’ll find Merlot pairs well with many foods.
