Update on this event – The What the Duck launch was a huge success as 237 rubber ducks were launched from the pumpkin cannon. The event raised over $1500 for breast cancer research and we thank everyone for their support and their purchase of the ducks.

Help Maize Valley celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness month on Saturday, October 25 as we hold our “What the Duck” duck launch. For $5 you can purchase an adorable pink rubber duck. All ducks will be launched from the pumpkin cannon on October 25 at 4 pm. The duck that lands closest to the target, wins a Maize Valley Prize Package. ALL proceeds from this event will go to support a local individual who is currently battling breast cancer. A very dear friend of Maize Valley, she has been fighting this horrible disease for many years. Following her latest reoccurrence, her husband decided that the fight was too much for him and he left the family. This has put a huge financial burden on her and her three sons. We hope you will join us in showing support for the family!
Ducks will be available starting the first of October inside the market and can be purchased at any time. The actual duck launch will take place on October 25 – the winner does not need to be present to win.
